Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you request a demo through the site, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, and firm name.

Like most websites, we also collect basic technical information automatically — pages visited, browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address — through privacy-focused product analytics. We use this to understand how the site is used and to fix problems. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build advertising profiles.

How we use it

We use the information you give us to respond to you, schedule demos, and tell you about Solander if you've asked us to. We use technical information to operate and improve the site.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone for their marketing. We never will.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers to run this site, each bound by their own commitments to safeguard data: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database infrastructure), Resend and Google Workspace (email), PostHog (product analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). We share only what each needs to do its job.

Separately, when a firm uses the Solander product, the same discipline applies to the providers that support it: Cloudflare R2 stores firm and client documents, and OpenAI processes firm-submitted content — statements, emails, notes — to power features like analysis, classification, and drafting. OpenAI does not use this content to train its models, per our API terms with them. This is data the firm owns; we process it solely to provide the service, under that firm's separate agreement with us — see Scope of this policy, below.

How long we keep it

We keep demo-request and contact information for as long as we're in an active conversation with you, and for a reasonable period afterward so we have context if you come back. If you'd like it deleted sooner, ask — see below.

Your choices

Email us at ashaw@solandersoftware.com to ask what information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll respond promptly. If you've asked to hear from us and change your mind, one email stops it.

Security

We take the security of your information seriously — it's the discipline our product is built on. Data in transit is encrypted, access is restricted, and we use reputable infrastructure providers. No internet transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.

Incident notification

If we confirm a security incident affecting a firm's data, we notify the affected firm within 72 hours of that confirmation. We investigate promptly, contain what we can, and tell you plainly what happened and what we're doing about it.

Scope of this policy

This policy describes two different relationships. The first is you, visiting this website — a prospective client or a visitor requesting a demo. We collect what's described above directly from you, and this policy governs that data. The second is the firm and client data the Solander product stores once a firm becomes a customer. That data belongs to the firm, not to us. We process it solely to provide the service, under the terms of that firm's separate agreement with us, which addresses data handling in the depth a registered adviser requires.

This site and the Solander product are directed to financial services firms in the United States. We don't make representations about compliance with regulations outside the U.S., including the EU's GDPR.

Children

This site is for financial professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be flagged plainly at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
